At Egaa Gymnasium we focus on the following values:

Egaa Gymnasium is a modern school built for innovative ways of teaching, providing the foundation for a spirited and committed school life. We consider a substantial academic basis with highly qualified teachers momentous, and we also expect our pupils to commit themselves, supporting their development from pupil to student. We give high priority to student democracy, and at Egaa the students have an actual say in the way things are done. We have student representation in most of our committees and a powerful, well functioning student council.

To us a cozy and inspiring teaching environment is paramount – during, as well as after class hours. That is why we encourage our students to take part in social activities after school. These extracurricular activities include voluntary classes, choir, arts, science club, sports, drama, joint arrangements, school parties, and cafes.

About upper secondary education in Denmark

The general upper secondary education provision of the Gymnasium typically begins at the end of 9 years’ full-time compulsory education. The education qualifies for access to higher academic education, and vocational or technical education primarily aiming at the labour market.
